PMW Classic Golf Tournament

On September 21st, 2023, ProTech Services, Inc. hosted our 2nd Annual PMW Classic Golf Tournament. The sold-out crowd gathered at the Memphis National Golf Club in Collierville for a golf tournament benefiting The PEYitforward Foundation and the established scholarship at The University of Memphis Fogelman College of Business.

The PMW Classic Golf Tournament exists as a heartfelt tribute to Peyton Weddle, the son of ProTech’s owner, Dan Weddle. Peyton’s untimely passing in 2016 left an indelible mark on the ProTech family and inspired the creation of The PEYitforward Foundation, which honors Peyton’s legacy by spreading love to all, giving back to local communities, and encouraging others to choose kindness over hate every single day. Funds raised at the PMW Classic Golf Tournament support a scholarship at the University of Memphis Fogelman College of Business and Economics, a program Peyton attended.

“We are proud to partner with the University to present this scholarship to a deserving student every academic year,” said Dan. “This scholarship not only supports that effort, but also supports our operations, which include initiatives to spread kindness and help underserved communities in Memphis, just like my son did in his 21 years of life.”

Last year’s recipient of The Peyton Martin Weddle Scholarship was Eli Roy, a current sophomore with an interest in Accounting. The recipient is chosen each year by the university, based on an essay detailing the applicant’s activism efforts in Memphis. We look forward to announcing the next recipient of the scholarship soon.
