Service in Memphis: How ProTech Cares allows employees to invest in organizations they love
No matter your industry, purpose-driven work reaps long-term benefits for an organization. Implementing volunteer programs at your company can help improve retention and recruitment; increase employee purpose; and assist with skill development. At ProTech, we believe that, no matter how large or small your contribution, every organization has a duty to strengthen its community.
As a Memphis-based company, giving back is ingrained in us. An integral piece of our company culture is the belief that running a business is about giving back – not just about making a profit. There are hundreds of local organizations in our community that can use a helping hand, and we proudly offer ours by providing both technology and volunteer support through our ProTech Cares program.
Through ProTech Cares, we give every member of our team two days of PTO per year to support and volunteer at an organization of their choice. This allows our employees to find meaningful opportunities to serve, even if they take place during working hours. Our team members have strong connections to so many local nonprofits, and their support, volunteer hours and service on executive boards build a better community for all involved.
From participating in 5Ks to sponsoring community events, face to face volunteering was a huge component of our ProTech Cares program. Naturally, in-person volunteer opportunities slowed amid the pandemic. But, our team is excited to see a light at the end of the tunnel, as our city normalizes day by day. We look forward to continuing our drive to better our community through our give-back efforts.
At ProTech, our hope is that each and every member of our team is proud of working for a company that values being a good corporate citizen by giving back to those in our community who need it most.
